Marimekko Saapaivakirja Mug in green shows the green and swaying grasses in a moody landscape, a painted masterpeice of a mug. The Weather Diary collection by Marimekko, designed by illustrator Aino - Maija Metsola, who lives on an Island in Finland. Inspired by the Nordic weather patterns and Autumnal colours represented by the blues, blacks and dusky greys of the rain clouds, the rich golden glow of the autumn sun and the the long golden grasses swaying in the breeze. The water colour patterns depict the ever changing moods of the autumnal seasonal weather and are illustrated beautifully on the classic crisp minimal lines of the Oiva Tableware.
