Iittala Aalto Votive Clear

The Aalto Clear votive is the small version of the Aalto vase which has become one of the world’s most famous glass objects part of the Aalto collection, deservedly synonymous with Finnish glass art and with Iittala. Alvar Aalto created the Aalto vase in various shapes, sizes and colours for Iittala for the World Fair in Paris in 1937. It is exhibited in some of the world’s most influential design museums. The fluid shapes are said to derive from the Finnish landscape and its lakes. The votives are hand-blown using traditional techniques, and may therefore contain tiny bubbles.
